The Citadel and the College of Charleston are collaborating to offer two new graduate certificates.

Stacy L. Pearsall is an award-winning photographer and decorated combat veteran whose images have helped many appreciate the heroism of wounded veterans. Most recently, her work was featured in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery.

As part of Women’s History Month at The Citadel, the new assistant provost for leadership and department head and professor of The Citadel Department of Leadership Studies will give a presentation at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 27 on campus.

Four highly decorated military leaders have been named finalists in The Citadel’s search for its 20th president. The Citadel Board of Visitors released the names of the three- and four-star generals as a prelude to interviews with the candidates in late March and early April.

The Citadel will recognize the college’s 175th anniversary with the traditional military pageantry and devotion to leadership development for which it is celebrated. The activities begin March 20, 2018.

Scholars from around the nation devoted to the politics of the American South will gather in Charleston March 1-2 for The Citadel Symposium on Southern Politics 2018. Hosted on campus by the Department of Political Science, this year’s symposium is the 40th anniversary of the first meeting held in 1978.
