These cadets were amoung the 500 graduates of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets who particiated in the commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 4.

Approximately 35% of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets Class of 2019 took their military commissioning oaths on Fri., May 3.

One of the first major events during the commencement season at The Citadel is the annual awards convocation for the South Carolina Corps of Cadets. The awards are presented to cadets and active duty students in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments.

Daniel Esteban is the South Carolina Corps of Cadets’s best-drilled cadet after winning The Citadel’s 2019 Star of the West competition.

Our entire Citadel family is mourning the loss of Cadet Keith Schemm and Miss Elizabeth “Libby” Daniel, who died Sunday morning in a tragic car crash. The loss of two so young and full of promise is a heart-breaking wound for our small community.

Flying has been in Jenna’s blood since she was 6, when she joined her father in the cockpit of a Cessna 150. Her goal is to become a fighter pilot in the Air Force, and she is well on her way.
