Eight cadets were selected for a new, rigorous academic program as freshmen. The goal is to help them apply for prestigious universities and scholarships.

Citadel alumnus and Dorchester native Mozar Ross embarked on a nine-month clerkship at South Africa’s highest court in August.

The Citadel’s engineering program boasts a plethora of disciplines. Newest among them is a computer engineering degree that launched in August.

The second annual Latin Art and Culture Expo on Saturday, Sept. 28 in Buyer Auditorium. The event is free for families and people of all ages.

The President’s List is one of the most distinguished cadet awards presented by The Citadel. It indicates excellence in academics and military duties.

Gold stars are awarded to cadets and students who have earned a grade point ratio of 3.7 or higher. Cadets receive their stars at a special awards parade.

The dean’s list recognizes cadets and students who are registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.20 or higher.

This summer, Fritz Hollings’s brother-in-law donated the long-time senator’s class ring, honorary sword and two American flags to The Citadel Archives.

The Citadel is paying tribute to the victims of 9/11. Cadets placed more than 3,000 flags along the college’s Avenue of Remembrance.
