New this year will be a closing celebration, honoring Medal of Honor recipient, Sgt. Kyle White, with the entire South Carolina Corps of Cadet.

This year marks the first time both Corps of Cadets from The Citadel and Virginia Military Institute (VMI) are led by regimental commanders who are women.

More than 550 cadets, active duty and veteran students, members of the Class of 2022, now proudly wear The Citadel class ring.

Two of America’s Senior Military Colleges will recognize a historic moment this weekend during events at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 2.

“Honor, Duty, and Respect are now significantly instilled within me.”

The President’s List, awarded for academic and military excellence, is one of the most distinguished cadet awards presented by The Citadel.

Gold stars are awarded each semester to cadets and students who have earned a grade point ratio of 3.7 or higher.
