The Citadel in photos: Parents’ Weekend, Leadership Day and more from October 2026

October brought some of the most anticipated events at The Citadel.

Friends and families returned to campus for Parents’ Weekend, seniors received their class rings, the newly selected Junior Sword Arch gave its first performance, the Class of 2030 were promoted to cadet-recruits and received their company letters, and the Summerall Guards performed at halftime during the football game vs ETSU. Weeks of practice were on display during the Kelly Cup finals, as well as during the retreat and awards parades throughout the month. Beyond campus, cadets went out into the Lowcountry to give back to their community during the annual Class of 1979 Leadership Day.

Take a look back at these moments and more from October.
