The newest portrait in The Citadel’s Distinguished Alumni gallery is now on display, honoring a lifetime of service.

Colonel William M. (Bill) Connor, V, USA (Ret.), ’90, will join The Citadel Board of Visitors as its newest member on July 1, 2021.

The Citadel Board of Visitors voted not to raise tuition for the 2021-2022 academic year during a meeting on June 11.

The Citadel Board of Visitors presented honorary degrees to the five recipients from 2021 during the commencement ceremonies on May 8 and 9.

Col. Dylan W. Goff, Class of 2002 was elected chair, and Col. Peter M. McCoy Sr., Class of 1974, was re-elected as vice chair.

This year’s Corps Day Weekend looked a bit different — but that did not stop The Citadel from presenting the Palmetto Medal Award.

The need for 2.5% increase was explained by the Vice President of Finance and Business as a means of continuing the college’s solid financial footing.

The Citadel Board of Visitors elected Col. Myron C. Harrington Jr., U.S. Marine Corps, (Ret.), ’60, as Board chair.
