Two servant leaders from The Citadel family — one current and one former cadet — are working to give back to the Charleston community.

The Citadel is remembering one of its longest-living alumni, a member of the Class of 1938, who dedicated his life to his family and country.

Despite the inability to host a traditional event, Memorial Day 2020 would not be disregarded by the Association of the U.S. Army and the Citadel Alumni Association.

Soon-to-be-officers joined a Zoom meeting where they practiced the ceremony. Each name was called, cadets gave their salutes remotely.

As each spring semester closes, The Citadel recognizes some of the outstanding cadets and active duty students at the college through a series of awards.

It is our aim to begin 2020 Fall Semester on time in August, and in-person, with the the health and safety of everyone remaining a first priority.

During a major pandemic, men and women of The Citadel are moving ahead to dedicate their lives to caring for others through careers in healthcare.

Each spring at The Citadel, top cadets and students share their engaged scholarship and experiences at the annual Student Excellence Day.
