The annual awards convocation for the South Carolina Corps of Cadets took place on Thursday, May 4 to kick off commencement events.

Cadet Coleman Bland is now the South Carolina Corps of Cadet’s best-drilled cadet. Bland competed against 35 other cadets for the title during The Citadel’s Star of the West competition.

Cmdr. Drury “Chip” Nimmich Jr., USN (Ret.), ’76, was the 2021 President of The Citadel Alumni Association.

On May 6, more than 1,000 cadets and students from the Class of 2023 will graduate from The Citadel.

As the Class of 2023 prepares to graduate from The Citadel and step into the real world, the Air Force ROTC is preparing to commission 18 brand new 2nd lieutenants into the Air Force and Space Force. A mix of future pilots, drone controllers, intelligence officers and more will be entering into a commitment of military service for their country.

As the Capers Hall Replacement Project nears completion, The Citadel community is reflecting on the previous building, all the way back to the early 1950s when it was first constructed.

The Citadel Honors Program traveled to the annual Southern Regional Honors Council, or SRHC, conference on March 30 through April 2.

The Citadel Department of Defense (DOD) Cyber Institute (CDCI) hosted cadets, students and faculty from each of the six senior military college cyber institutes on April 3 and 4.

Six cadets from The Citadel attended the Law of Armed Conflict Competition for Military Academies in Sanremo, Italy.
