Walters, USMC (Ret.), president of The Citadel. “He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for almost three decades, was known for his engineering designs and direction related to major projects around the nation including the Ravenel Bridge in Charleston, and served in numerous capacities as a leader on campus.
