A new generation of cadets are officially patch-holding members of The Citadel’s African American Society.

Maj. Gen. David Wilson, ’91, was — virtually — back on his old stomping grounds, teaching senior Army cadets about leadership.

The former cadet, and current Air Force reservist, will now serve his alma mater as the Chaplain to the Corps of Cadets.

“I love space,” Morand said. “So there’s no reason I wouldn’t have done it. I’m excited to do this new opportunity.”

Four Citadel alumni, all former Bulldogs football players, are working as for NFL teams – two as assistant coaches, and one as a player for the Buffalo Bills.

The college is laying the groundwork for in-person Commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2021 graduates.

“I work out a lot because of my job, and I want to stay in shape,” said Johnson, a 2013 graduate of The Citadel who grew up in Hanahan.

The college asks for cooperation as it limits access to campus to those on official, confirmed business from Jan. 13 – 29.

Thirty-five teams competed in 48-hour time slots to find hidden clues and virtual flags by hacking into mock computer systems.
