The Zucker Family School of Education and Berkeley County School District have a longstanding relationship, which is set to enter a new era.

Over at The Citadel, a military college in Charleston, Lt. Col. Scott Curtis monitors data from this outdoor weather station every day.

“It has grown into a larger disruption because of the panic buying behavior,” said Hee Yoon Kwon, a supply chain management professor at The Citadel.

Bastin Hall, a state-of-the-art academic facility, was made possible because of a $6-million gift from the couple.

More than 230 undergraduate transfer and graduate students participated in the spring commencement events.

In ’21, there are some unusual ties between the Mechanical and Civil Engineering programs: Two mechanical engineers, two civil engineers, four athletes and two musicians.

“I listened to my dad who said to enjoy the small things at The Citadel because when we look back those are going to be the big things. The past four years will be hard to beat.”

“On-campus housing is available to all degree-seeking students attending summer programs.”

After a year of overcoming unique challenges, The Citadel is recognizing some of its outstanding faculty members.

In three years, John Rush III aspires to graduate with a Citadel business degree and become a fourth-generation military service member.
