The Citadel President initiated the search to identify the next Commandant of Cadets, a role that is crucial to the success of the Military College of South Carolina.

The event, featuring Lt. Colonel Frederick Whittle, USMC (ret), ’80, will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

“Highly successful engineering alumni in leadership positions who are strikingly engaged in cadet and graduate support.”

On four occasions he was awarded America’s third highest military combat medal, the Silver Star, for gallantry in action.

The Citadel Student Veterans Association is a student-governed organization that assists veteran students enrolled at the Military College of South Carolina
