The President’s List, awarded for academic and military excellence, is one of the most distinguished cadet awards presented by The Citadel.

Gold stars are awarded each semester to cadets and students who have earned a grade point ratio of 3.7 or higher.

The dean’s list is a recognition given to cadets and students who are registered for 12 or more semester hours with a GPA of 3.20 or higher.

After years of preparations and planning, the Capers Hall ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Saturday, Sept. 9, to officially commemorate The Citadel’s newest academic building.

The Citadel’s new Capers Hall features a training SCIF, where cadets and students will learn how to work with classified information.

Capers Hall, the Citadel’s new humanities and social sciences building, will be set to open next week, filled with numerous amenities for cadets, faculty and the community.

Members of The Citadel Class of 2027 will arrive on campus Saturday, August 12.

The Citadel is expanding and improving its campus safety notification system — Bulldog Alert — that is used to communicate important information to The Citadel Community in times of emergency.

Daniel Oliver Bowman was the first head of the Department of Psychology, developed The Citadel Counseling Center and served as the first director of Graduate Programs.

The Citadel’s new Capers Hall will feature a Legal Studies classroom that will also serve as a mock courtroom and hub for many classes.
