Morris Robinson is the only former cadet and All-American football player at the Citadel to become a world-renowned opera singer.

With more than 53 years of experience in law, King has become an authority in his industry and currently serves as an Active Retired Circuit Court Judge.

Morris Robinson, ’91, finally committed to serious vocal training and his opera career began when he was cast in “Aida” in 1999.

The Fourth of July celebration at Camp Lejeune will feature a special musical performance by Citadel alumnus and singer-songwriter Marine Col. Mike Corrado.

Among his many roles, Ken Byrd served as Aberdeen Town Commissioner, volunteer director for The Citadel’s Alumni Association and a colonel in the Air Force.

Standing before the sparkling backdrop of Charleston Harbor, the former regimental commander of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets hosted the event that featured the presentation of a $2.5 million pledge of support for the museum from Dominion Energy.

David Aughtry of Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry discovered something about himself after graduating from The Citadel, picking up degrees in law and accounting at the University of South Carolina and earning an LLM in taxation at Emory: “I was born to try tax cases.”

The Citadel is ranked as having the highest rates of employment in South Carolina, ten years post enrollment, according to the 2019 College Scorecard.
