The Citadel will celebrate nearly 1,000 cadet and Citadel Graduate College students from the Class of 2022 during two traditional commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 7.

The Class of 2022 Summerall Guards performed their last precision drills as a unit before passing their rifles to the new platoon earlier this spring.

Nearly 125 awards were presented when the recipients were honored as a group on Thursday, April 7 in McAlister Field House.

Established by the Board of Visitors, the award is presented to those whose service to the college or state is particularly noteworthy.

An alumnus, lauded for his dedication to The Citadel mission of developing principled leaders and for his integrity as an executive in the global textile industry, is again being honored by his alma mater.
