The Zucker Family School of Education will be identifying up to 15 cadets and students for a new initiative called the Counselor Education Maestros Program (CEMP).

The Zucker Family School of Education honored four community leaders for their excellence in educational innovation at its annual Educational Leadership and Innovation forum.

The Zucker Family School of Education was a selected recipient of the 2022 Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement. They are ranked as one of the best master’s and bachelor’s programs for education in South Carolina.

Deon Jackson graduated from the South Carolina Corps of Cadets in 1999 and from The Citadel Graduate College in both 2005 and 2013.

Evan Ortlieb, Ph.D., dean of the ZFSOE, has been named the first-ever Zucker Chair in Entrepreneurial Education Leadership.

“As our state seeks to overcome a historic teacher shortage, these programs will provide support to key areas identified by the receiving institutions.”

Caroline McKaughan credits her time at The Citadel for instilling within her the attitude of service, leadership capacity and educational training she’s needed to fulfill her role in serving the cadets at Oak Ridge Military Academy.
