On Friday, March 1, The Citadel kicked off a weekend full of celebrations recognizing 25 Years of Female Cadet Graduates.

The Citadel held its first event to celebrate 25 Years of Female Cadet Graduates on Tuesday, January 30.

Emily Hickey is an Intelligence and Security Studies major with a minor in Criminal Justice from Melrose, Massachusetts. After graduation, she expects to accept a commission into the Navy.

Mecca Jackson is an Exercise Science major from Sandersville, Georgia. After graduation, she hopes to return to The Citadel to complete her master’s degree in Sports Management. Jackson is a member of the track and field team.

Cadet Gianna Rabassi is an Intelligence and Security Studies major with a minor in Business from Jacksonville, North Carolina. She serves as Papa Company commander and expects to accept an Air Force commission in May 2024.

Sadie Gomez, a junior at The Citadel, spent nearly a month this past summer at Maxwell Air Force and Patrick Space Force bases learning and training within the military’s most modern branch.

Citadel alumna Taylor Diggs has received the Marcus L. Urann Fellowship by The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

Cadets Olena Fedinova and Katya Govorova reflect on finishing their first year at The Citadel after leaving their home country of Ukraine due to the ongoing war.
