Leonard Fulghum Jr., former chair for The Citadel Board of Visitors, passed away on October 25.

During the annual meeting on June 6, The Citadel Board of Visitors reelected Col. F. G. “Greg” Delleney Jr., ’74, to serve as chair for a second term.

The Citadel is grieving the loss of an outstanding alumnus who was known for his lifetime of service to his country, state, local community and alma mater.

The newest vice chair of the Board of Visitors, Col. Triz Smith, M.D., began his term on Oct. 17 after being elected during a June 7 meeting.

The Citadel unveiled a bust of Maj. Gen. John Grinalds, its 18th president, which will greet those who enter the front doors of Capers Hall.

The Citadel Board of Visitors presented honorary degrees to recipients during the commencement celebrations for the Class of 2024.

Col. F. G. “Greg” Delleney Jr., ’74, was elected chair, and Col. Peter M. McCoy Sr., ’74, was re-elected as vice chair for the one year remaining in his term.

The Citadel is mourning the loss of Robert Anthony Daniel, ’49, former Board of Visitors member and President of The Citadel Alumni Association.
