The Swain Department of Nursing is recognizing its fourth graduating class, celebrating the graduation of 15 cadets and 12 non-cadet students.

The Citadel honored five of its most outstanding cadets and two distinguished faculty members during the Awards Convocation and the South Carolina Corps of Cadets Commencement ceremony.

The Citadel honors some of its best and brightest with more than 50 awards, celebrating achievements in academics, leadership and service.

Sam Wilson, a History major from Carlisle, Iowa, is currently the South Carolina Corps of Cadet’s best-drilled cadet.

“Fulfilling this challenge will provide a total of $200,000 to train two Ukrainian citizens as principled, Citadel leaders.”

“The feeling of elation people experience after their first jump cannot be replaced by anything else. The feeling of accomplishment is tremendous.”

The Citadel will celebrate nearly 1,000 cadet and Citadel Graduate College students from the Class of 2022 during two traditional commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 7.
