Gen. Glenn M. Walters, USMC (Ret.), president of The Citadel, addressed the campus community on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 regarding The Citadel’s ongoing response to the global outbreak of coronavirus

At this time no one at The Citadel is showing symptoms of COVID-19 or being tested for symptoms, and there are no cases of COVID-19 on campus.

The Citadel Office of Study Abroad has cancelled a spring furlough session that would have taken a group to several destinations in northern Europe including Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

The Citadel is actively monitoring the global outbreak of respiratory illness caused by coronavirus (termed “2019-nCoV”) for developments that may impact our campus community.
