Members of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets visited Columbia to participate in a historic milestone, when South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster was inaugurated on January 11 for his second full term.

The Citadel is making the process of applying easier and more streamlined through a partnership with Common App.

Two Citadel cadets will represent the college on the Women Impacting Supply Chain Excellence (WISE) National Advisory Board.

Two cadets recently competed in the virtual National Cyber League, a competition giving students a chance to practice their cybersecurity skills. They competed against students from all over the country, and both placed in the top 100 out of more than 7,500 participants.

More than 60 cadets at The Citadel now know which branch of the Army they will join after graduation as they approach the halfway point of their senior year.

For the first time ever, The Citadel Career Center was awarded a grant to help more cadets and students achieve their professional goals. The $30,000 grant – provided by Boeing – went a long way for eight cadets and students who interned at various organizations in Charleston over the summer and fall. Grant money also went to several faculty and student projects, such as the Supply Chain Management and Port Club and Citadel STEM project.

Nalani Quintello is a veteran day student at The Citadel studying Business and Project Management. During her service, Quintello used her talents to become lead vocalist in the Premier Rock Band of the Air Force. She is an ambassador for the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program and hopes to combine her passions for service and music into a business venture.

Eleven teams competed in the semi-final round of the Baker Business Bowl IX on Thursday, Nov. 3. Business ideas ranged from hockey gear, bait casters, delivery drones and more. By the end of the day, only five teams advanced to the final round.

The first weekend in November will hold one of The Citadel’s biggest events on campus — Homecoming 2022 — hosted by The Citadel Alumni Association.
