The Citadel will return to normal operations on Monday, Jan. 27.
The basketball game against Western Carolina is expected to be held, as scheduled, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, in McAlister Field House.
The barber shop will reopen today at from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additional services on campus, to include dining and retail locations in Mark Clark Hall, will reopen tomorrow. The mess hall, Deas Hall, Daniel Library and Infirmary will continue operations Friday and throughout the weekend.
Essential employees should continue checking with their supervisors over the weekend; all employees should direct any specific questions to their supervisor.
Jan. 23
Due to persisting wintery conditions in the Lowcountry, Friday’s classes will be online and asynchronous.
Tomorrow’s awards parade has been canceled. Cadets will be presented their awards in a private ceremony in place of parade. Images from that presentation will be available on Friday afternoon for download at this link.

Roads and many walkways on campus remain covered in snow and ice; as temperatures fall at sunset, surfaces will become more dangerous. Please use caution.

As icy conditions on Lowcountry roads persist, all classes will again remain online and asynchronous Thursday, Jan. 23. Essential employees should continue checking with their supervisors regarding in-person requirements; non-essential employees should plan to remain off campus unless told otherwise. The mess hall, Deas Hall and Daniel Library will be open, as will the Infirmary.

Jan. 20
Out of an abundance of caution and due to the winter weather expected in the Lowcountry Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, The Citadel will move to an online, asynchronous format for all classes on Tuesday. Employees will be advised by their supervisors on whether they should report to work in person or remotely Tuesday. Please direct additional questions to your supervisor.
The mess hall and infirmary will maintain normal hours; Daniel Library and Deas Hall will also be open on Tuesday.
Further communications will be provided by 2 p.m. on Tuesday regarding classes and staffing on Wednesday.
