The Citadel is reflecting on its past weekend, which held one of the biggest events on campus — Homecoming 2023 — hosted by The Citadel Alumni Association.

On Friday, Oct. 6, The Citadel Family and people from all over South Carolina remembered the life and legacy of Stanley Myers, ’98.  

Prior to the service, many of Watts’s friends and colleagues spoke about the leadership and integrity he displayed throughout his career and life.

“The Citadel is a better place, thanks to his dedicated service.”

“Stanley was always humble and represented his alma mater and community with the utmost respect and pride.”

The Military College of South Carolina will host an event titled “The Wheel of Time: Books to Film at The Citadel” on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 6:30 p.m.

Citadel alumna Taylor Diggs has received the Marcus L. Urann Fellowship by The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

The project was exhaustively researched to link these vehicles to alumni who personify The Citadel’s mission to produce principled leaders.

Remains of one of America’s most decorated officers, Maj. Gen. Harry Pickett, ’11, who fought in both World War I and II, are being returned for re-burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
